I have been getting calls about weddings for the spring and summer which is very exciting! I don’t think many people out there think of massage for their wedding so I just wanted to take some time to explain why massage can be benificial for your special day!
Congratulations you are about to get married!
Massage therapy can be very beneficial for your wedding for many reasons. Stress relief, relaxation, supporting healthy energy levels, and connecting with your spouse oe wedding party are just a few examples of why considering massage therapy for your wedding is a great option.
The bride and the groom have so much to think about while planning a wedding. Hiring a massage therapist for the night before or the night of your wedding is a great way to reduce stress and get relief from some of the overwhelming anxiety that goes along with getting married.
As a bride maybe you want to do something nice for all the women that are helping you with your special day. Bringing a massage therapist could be an event in itself or as mellow as you want it to be. Imagine having a therapist come to your house with some light food, wine, some fresh flowers and relaxing music. You can just let the therpist do all the work and cater to your bridal party while you catch up with your friends.
Another idea is very new to weddings receptions but some weddings have hosted a massage therapist for the wedding party as well as guest. Something as simple as chair massages for everybody throughout the wedding reception can be a great way to add to the festive events of your wedding day.
This is your special day so start this next chapter in your life looking and feeling your very best!
So hire Bee Well today for your fabulous wedding celebration!

Did you know that getting massages is great way to stay warm, healthy and happy this winter?
Massage techniques can improve circulation, massage moves the blood around your whole body making you feel warm. Also with the warm hands of your therapist moving along your body it can really relax your muscles and make you feel so warm and cozy! Do you know that you lose most of your body heat from the top of your head? Usually in the winter I like to spend some extra time on my clients scalp to really warm them up, along with a nice blanket that is really comforting. You will feel like a child being tucked in on a snowy winter night! So this winter before cranking the heat up, cuddle up with a special someone or your favorite blanket and just give your toes, fingers and scalp a nice massage!
Are you looking to maintain your healthy lifestyle you worked hard for even when in the winter, where it seems to get harder to acomplish your health goals? With all the holiday parties, and cooking you will be doing this winter, as well as the natural cycle of your body craving those crazy carbs when you get a cold chill, massage is a great way to boost your metabolism as well as fight cellulite. So if you are feely guilty about that extra cookie or glass of eggnog, get a massage, not only will it help you forget about the previous snacks, but it will help you feel fit and light on your feet again!
Have these cold, dark months got you down? Are you stressed by the snow, hoidays, lack of sun and anything else that can the best of you this winter? Don’t stress, massage can help to beat those winter blues. There is nothing better for yourself than to get a massage. With the smell of fresh lavendar in the air, some relaxing music for you, you get to just close your eyes and a nice therapist will take care and nurture you, you will feel the stress sweeping out of your body. When the massage is through you will feel, relaxed, motivated, and refreshed, as well as happy, and ready to handle whatever life may hand you next!
Massage is a very healthy way to lose those winter blues. Stay warm, healthy and happy this winter with the power of massage, let Bee Well do something nice for you!
MASSAGE TIP #2: when you get cold this winter, give your feet, hands and scalp a nice relaxing massage!

So some of my clients ask me what is the difference between all your different techniques?I thought I would take this time to explain.
Swedish Massage:A massage technique used for more general conditions. Swedish massages is used when relief from acute joint and muscle pain is needed. Swedish massage techniques are used in relaxation, stress relieving massages because the techniques used are a lighter more free flowing pressure. Pressure is applied with hands, arms, and fingers. This is the one for everyday relief or if you just need to treat yourself to something nice. This is perfect for the person looking to maintain a healthy lifestyle!
Deep Tissue Massage:A massage technique used for more specific issues. Deep Tissue massage is a style that uses alot of strong pressure on certain parts of the body where there is toxin build up. Deep Tissue massage is known for using pressure applied with elbows and fingers. This is the massage for that person looking for relief from specific trouble spots.
Prenatal Massage:A massage practiced on a pregnant women. Women are urged to wait until after the first trimester to get a prenatal massage. Its a massage technique that uses swedish massage techniques. Prenatal can also be practiced on special tables but that is not required. Prenatal massages are perfect for that special women at home, that needs some extra comfort in her child carrying months.
Sports Massage: A massage performed either before or after a sporting event. Sports massage uses both swedish and deep tissue as well as incorporates stretching. Something for the athletes!
Chair Massage:A massage practiced in a specific massage chair. Chair massage works well for people on the go, or who are uncomfortable with undressing. This is the option for you, if you are always on the go, and just need a quick massage while on your lunch break or inbewtween meetings.
Foot Reflexology:Foot Reflexology is a treatment practiced on the feet only. This is not just a foot massage, It is the practice of taking specific reflex points in the foot to heal the whole body. This is a great therapy for people who are uncomfortable undressing,or if you are a little nervous about massage, this is a great place to start your way to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
All of these techniques and therapies are a fantastic way to get some pain relief as well as relaxation time for yourself. I would hope between these choices you find something that you think will work best for you and your lifestyle. Please feel free to contact me at anytime with questions and/or concerns. I look forward to working with you all, and I hope this has helped you to figure out which style will be best for you-
Thanks so much

Dear Friends,
I just wanted to take this time to explain why here at Bee Well Massage I practice proper draping. Some people have asked me why I use draping, and some people have even cancelled their appointment after discovering I do use draping. I find this is very insulting and its upsetting to me as a person as well as a therapist.
For those of you that will not get a massge from a certified therapist without proper draping gives the impression that you are looking for something more than a massage. I get offended by these people because we are not prostitutes we are massage therapists. We are selling our massage talents, and nothing more. Massage therapists have gone to school to learn and study as well as spent their hard earned money to learn how to be body workers. I don’t think any therapist would go through all that trouble to practice massage for some pervert. And those therpist that do practice sexual massages are few and far between so please don’t assume a therpist will practice that for you, they do advertise so contact them.
I have heard from some of you, that you are honest and do like massages without draping because you feel more relaxed. Let me just tell you that if your therapist is a good one, you should not even notice the draping. Proper draping should not alter the massage in any way. The draping is there not just for a safty issue but also as a way to maintain a comfort level for everybody. I know massages are mostly all about the client but the therapist also needs to be comfortable. We are profesionals and need to express our business in a way that is reconized for being professional, talented and reliable.
We are here as body workers, we are here to help people that want to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Please do not ask me if I use proper draping, the answer is yes. Bee Well has always and always will use proper draing. Bee Well!

Grettings!
Here at Bee Well, the power of touch is very important! It could be a massage from a proffesional or even just a back rub from a great friend or lover! You don’t have to be a proffesional or take massage classes to really make someone feel great. I encourage you to start to exchange massage with a partner and reap the amazing benefits of massage as well as connect with one another on a different level. Its as easy as massaging someones scalp or feet. No matter what you do you most likely will not hurt them and even if you have no idea what you are doing it will still feel awesome!
BEE WELL MASSGE TIP #1
If you massage and put pressure inbetween your thumb and pointer finger it can relieve you from a headache! So before you take medacine try this, if you do not feel any results please do whatever you need to, to feel better!
